The director of R&D at Amorim, Miguel Cabral, goes over the five research and development goals the company mainly works on. In “Development of New Processes” he explains in detail how his new incorporation, the NDtech 2.0, works for quality control. This innovative technology allowed them to produce the first natural cork to be used as cap that has a guarantee of non-detectable TCA*.
Cabral closes his presentation pointing out this year’s challenge: “The eradication project will take us to guarantee a non-detectable TCA rate of 99% in corks, which translates in a huge improvement for the future”
